Positive Leadership Practices supports the key components of all good business practice and fits ideally to support expected outcomes of benchmark standards such as IIP, CMMI and EFQM.

What makes Positive leadership Practices unique?

What is PLP?

Description:

This is an interpersonal skills development process for supervisors and managers which provides both ’information learning’ as well as ‘how to’ leadership skills.  Eighty percent of the workshop time is focused on positive behaviour leadership skills training, while twenty percent of the time deals with information to be used in effective leadership behaviour.

Philosophy:

This process develops uniform, consistent management behaviour necessary to achieve bottom-line objectives.  Based upon a win-win philosophy for human interaction, the process teaches the use of real-life ‘how to’ skills to handle effectively the day-to-day situations and problems faced by supervisors and managers.

Based on the premise that each individual is accountable for his/her behaviour, the emphasis is on accepting the role of leadership by using positive, problem solving techniques.  This process has a unique built-in management reinforcement provision whereby the manager or the supervisor is taught how to make certain the desired changes – in fact – do occur.  The dynamics of the relationship of the supervisor and manager are then readily apparent to the employee group, who also plays an integral part in achieving organisational goals.

Duration:

The process cycle for supervisors and managers is ten, four-hour sessions. The first cycle is run over a period between 5 and 10 months.

Approach Utilised:

The process is structured for maximum benefit, allowing the participants to use their skills to handle real ’on the job’ issues.  The specially-trained, accredited workshop facilitators apply the principles of sound leadership interaction and adult learning.  Change Solutions UK Ltd can supply accredited facilitators or your own staff can be trained and accredited to conduct this process.
